Guest guest
Michele, how terrible! I am so sorry to hear about all of the hell you have had to go through. I can imagine that the thought of being wired shut for two whole months, especially after all of the ordeal that you've just been through can be very demoralizing. But think about it this way, at least the debilitating pain that you are in right now and that you have been experiencing in your joint will go away, or at least I hope so! Given the problems that you've been having I'm guessing being wired shut is probably your best and safest option to enabling a safe and sturdy recovery for your jaw. At least this way it won't shift back. I know it's tough, and I guess what ever I say won't make you feel any better but try to hold on for just a little longer. You'll make it, I'm sure of it! And we're always here for you. Thinking of you, Sara > Bad day for me. I went to my DR today 2 week followup. Last week they > took off the elastic's because of fulid in the joint. Guest guest
Michele That is just horrible. I can't imagine having to go back in for another surgery this soon. Try to look at it this way...at least you are already laid up from the first surgery. I know that really doesn't make you feel much better, but I would rather do this no than get 6 weeks down the road, expecting them to take off the wires, and then have them tell me I had to have a second surgery. Try to remain positive. It is very important for your healing. > Bad day for me. I went to my DR today 2 week followup. Last week they > took off the elastic's because of fulid in the joint. Guest guest
Michele, You sure do reinforce that all things are relative. We are each dealing with our own pain and suffering both internal and external. I'm so sorry to hear that yours has been so difficult for you. Keep the faith that your doctor's will be able to help you and keep positive that it will work itself out. I know that sounds lame - and is much easier said than done - but, it's true. We'll be thinking of you and sending you happy thoughts! Take care and keep writing, Carol > Bad day for me. I went to my DR today 2 week followup.
