I hear you. I found out a few things about my health that I wasn't

ready to hear. BUT the good news is, now you know, and the docs will

tend to it, and get you healthy as can be. Before all is said and

done, you will have an overhaul, and the engine will be purring

again! Better than feeling lousy for months with no clue as to why!!

Good luck. And welcome to a new healthier you!! Janet

I also found out about a health issue. I originally went in for my

surgery on 6/30/03, but the surgeon put three holes in me and stopped

cuz he didn't like the way my liver looked. (Not a fun day) Anyway

the surgeon did a biopsy and then- - - - he sent me to a GI guy and

it turned out I am in the beginning stages of non-alcoholic

cirrhosis. We knew my enzymes were high but didn't think it

wasCirrhosis. Now at least I know I have this and will follow up

with a GI person every year for liver health. (i have been drinking

a little vodka, but was not told I shouldn't drinkat all) Anyway

with 90 lbs off me, my liver enzymes are now normal as my PCP told me

would happen if I would just lose the weight!

good luck--mine is Thursday at 7am--next week. I have stress tests this week,

to make sure my shortness of breath isn't cardiac. Never thought I'd say it,

but I hope it's just fat. Glad your " found " problems aren't going to delay you.

I'm back

OK, you think your healthy and then you let them have a little blood

and a few x'rays a sonogram and you find out you are falling apart.

ha ha When I went in today I found out I have cholisytitus in my

gall bladder, so it has to come out during the surgery. Also I have

a hernia and my thyroid was way off whack. But....surgery is Monday

at 1:00. Pray for me.

It was just a little over 10 years ago now that I watched my sister

die from liver failure. She was in the exact same situation as you

are now. I would think twice about the alcohol. It wasn't pretty

the way she went...

,

I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers during this time. I'm sure

everything will work out for the best. Take care and try to stay calm, i know

easier said than done.
