Hi Kev,

I don't think regular mouthwash will be a problem, but you could

call your surgeon's office before you go if you are really concerned.

Funny you should bring up fresh breath - I was worried about

ingesting anything during my fast from midnight until surgery

(people had told me you can't even take water and a pill), so I

asked the nurse if I could at least brush my teeth. She said " we'd

appreciate it if you did! " LOL!

If you can, use one without alcohol, although you should be healed

enough not to burn the wounds, at this point.

Also, dilute it with water, by half.

I would wager that you can also use diluted hydrogen peroxide, but

I'd call the doc on that one. Someone's doc said to stay away from

it, for reasons I don't understand.

And if you've been using glyoxide, that should do the job, too -- a

few drops, and swish around, and rinse as best you can.

fiddlesticks please help me get off the e-mail. I don't know what

happened but I am getting all this mail that people are exchanging and I don't

want to. Thanks for the help. I really don't know what happened. I posted

today for the first and last time to just update how everything worked out with

my daughter about a year and 6 months ago and than this. Help.
