Jaw weakest on the 10th day post-surgery?

Can any one explain why the jaw is said to be at its weakest after 10

days of surgery? I've been reading a lot of the files that are saved on

the site and several of them make this statement and I can't for the

life of me figure out why. I broke my foot very badly several years ago

and was never told something like this. Is the jaw bone different from

other bones? Any one have suggestions, answers?
