Guest guest
For those of you who can eat lentils, I wanted to share this recipe. I made it tonight and it was yummy! My kids, who are 4 and 2 NEVER eat any legumes at all, but they LOVED this. Couldn't get enough. My 4 year old said it was like a snack. I used olive oil instead if canola, and I put a little black pepper instead of cayenne. I'm not sure if there are issues with onion and curry powder (are there? I don't usually use them so I don't know. I used them tonight without worries because I made this for me and my kids who are not on SCD. DH still not sure about eating lentils) but you can experiment and use lots of different legal spices. http://www.recipezaar.com/recipe/Munchies-Lentils-43934
Guest guest
Looks great, but I wonder why not red lentils. They are pretty much the only legume I tolerate. I expect that the split red lentils would be too small to make something to crunch on. Be a little like munching on sand. — Marilyn New Orleans, Louisiana, USA Undiagnosed IBS since 1976, SCD since 2001 Darn Good SCD Cook No Human Children Shadow & Sunny Longhair Dachshund Babette the Foundling Beagle
Guest guest
red lentils cook and get soft quickly. I was wondering the same thing, but maybe they won't get crunchy. You could put them in the dehydrator though? PJ > > > > http://www.recipezaar.com/recipe/Munchies-Lentils-43934 > > >
