Guest guest
Hi family, Sorry for cross posting but I need a response this morning from some of you. I had an appointment next week with my PCP to have some lab tests run but he has a cancellation this afternoon and I am taking it. My last labs were 8 months ago where everything was OK. This is my dilemma...I have the list of labs that some of you use and ran into problems big time. It never occurred to me that my insurance company wouldn't pay for some of them...I just assumed that if they were on the list - I needed them and the insurance company would pay for it. I don't know which ones are vital to RNY patients..regardless of cost. Taking care of this body is new to me and I want to give myself the best chance I have. I am female, 62, RNY-Dec 2001, I have a VIT B12 shot monthly as well as I take a sublingual pill daily, 2000 mg of calcium citrate, 2 multivitamins, 100 mg of Vit C with 100 mg of Carbonyl Iron, plus a couple of other vitamins and minerals.... Right now I have no medical complaints except the arthritis, for my age and sex, what labs would you have done? Thanks,
