Guest guest
Hello all. Well I am now down 70 pounds since May 25th. I have a long way to go before my goal, but I wanted to get a little head start on what to expect as far as insurance issues go for having a tummy tuck when all is said and done. I had to fight so very hard for this surgery and I can only hope that it is not going to be as hard of a fight for this surgery. Let me know any secrets you may have to getting this covered by the insurance company. Thanks Sheri in Michigan 320/250/150 rny 5/25/
Guest guest
Hey Sheri.. I recently found out that my insurance, along with many others, will cover a tummy tuck if you lose 80-100 pounds. I have Personal Choice- Blue Cross/Blue Shield.. They covered my surgery with no problems.. Thank god.. But they also say, you should wait at least 12-18 months after surgery to get the tummy tuck.. Well, hope it helped some.. *Alana in Pa*

Guest guest
Boy, I wish I had insurance like alot of you. My insure flat refused and I had 5 doctors recommending the surgery as necessary. I'm now attempting (after paying the Doctor myself) to get the insurance to approve surgery for my thighs. I have 3 doctor saying that it is medically necessary, but it has been 6 weeks already and know answers. If they flat out refused the gastric surgery, I can't see them approving this. I don't know what I'll do then. > I am wandering if my insurance will cover plastic surgery at all cause I'm on Gateway > Debbie > > > > > > >
