Guest guest
The time frame sounds suspicious for this to be a simple heat rash/ skin acclimation problem. That tends to come up as soon as full-time wear commences, or before. So in my mind, the probability increases that this could be infection. I would stop hydrocortizone (interferes with immune response), stop helmet until it's gone, and see a Dr. to make sure that that happens. You of course want that appointment ASAP, but it's not an emergency, don't worry about time out of helmet; and fear not, I doubt it's a dealbreaker as far as the doctor's acquiescence to the treatment. Guest guest
It sounds like a infection. My daughter had the same thing. The doctor told us to stop the helmet till it clears. She also told us to take her to our ped and see if he thought she needed to take some some antibiotics by mouth or cream to put on her head. Its gone now and she has been doing really well in it. But we also keep her cooler now so she don't sweat as much. Hope this helps. mother to Nevaeh 7 monthsFrom: Thad Launderville <p38thadl@...>Plagiocephaly Sent: Mon, December 7, 2009 3:48:09 PMSubject: Re: heat rash??
