Constipation and hungry

What I don't understand is how someone like me can be constipated all the time

and yet get sooo hungry. I haven't had a bm in 4 or 5 days yet I'm starving

right now. It's good that my body craves food but just weird when it's not

getting rid of it.

, I'm in the same boat as you. I think Monday was my last BM but I stay

hungry. I think I'm going to go back to prune juice soon. I was hoping that

stopping caffeine would help me get regular. had suggested that to me a

long time ago on here but tomorrow will be 30 days and it hasn't helped yet. I

might take the plunge, order some almond flour and make myself eat just 1 muffin

per day. I just know I don't have self control and will wind up eat them all in

a couple days.

Someone just mentioned recently that they did the prune/OJ drink in the morning with a coffee. I haven't had any in 6 months. Other than Allie's donuts(in RI) and some clam chowder, I desperately miss an iced latte. I wondered if a coffee in the morning with the lemon/water and a shot of prune nectar/OJ would help. It might help. You will have to experiment and find out. Since everyone is

different and there are a whole raft of genetic mutations that cause these

illnesses, people can make suggestions, but it is up to you to try different

reasonable sounding suggestions and find out for yourself what works for you.

Hi,

I do the prune juice and OJ every morning and it works great for me. I also have

some coffee, I tried drinking it black but I was always a latte lover so I have

been looking for alternatives. I started with homemade almond milk but I have

found that adding some coconut milk and just a little bit of honey to my coffee

makes it fantastic! Unfortunately, I don't have any experience with being hungry

and constipated, when it happens to me I pretty much have to force myself to eat

for a few days. I do know I have to do nuts in really limited amounts though or

my stomach responds negatively. Hope that helps a little.
