Guest guest
Hi Fay, My surgery date is June 28th, so just a few days behind yours on the 24th. I had an essay to write last week on the study of Language Acquisition of Primates. I thought I would never get that essay written. I was like who the heck cares about animals when I am concerned about my teeth...(haha) Why couln't I write an essay on Surviving Orthognathic Surgery..(haha) I am excited to see my OS this upcoming Tuesday for my final appt. before surgery. I also have my final appt. with my OD next week so at least that will keep me busy. Yes, I know what you mean by losing those last 15 lbs...I have a few remaining pounds to lose myself. So are you stocking your cabinets up with Ensure, broth, etc.? I have only stocked up on Gerbers (Baby Food) Hawaiin Delight...My favorite..Yes, I know I am out of Order...(haha) I am hoping my mother will bring me up the mother of all blenders like Sara's mom. I will talk to you a little later, > Hi , its Fay here. > > Not able to focus?? Me neither. I am writing a midterm exam today on > behavioural neuroscience and I really haven't got a clue about any > of it. I can't seem to stay on task! Oh well. It really is a lot to > deal with, and I'm just going to do what I can...Yeah right. > > Anyway, I appreciated your post to me, and was wondering what day > your surgery is on, and what you are having. Guest guest
Good morning to you! My party was great! Yes, I ate a lot. It was awesome. Afterwards we went dancing. Then, as luck would have it, we ended up all going out in the morning for a brunch buffet! Food....Mmmmmm. My day is coming soon! First Connie, then Shirly, then me! (Am I missing anyone?) I am sort of ready. Still need a white board and a reading pillow. Every once in a while I feel some emotion welling up inside but it never manifests. I can totally see myself bawling all the way into the OR. I am feeling pretty reclusive right now. I have a friend who wants to get together today, but I just don't feel like it. I went to the beach yesterday, and it felt so great to get some sun! Its been raining here for weeks. So of course, thinking it might be my last sunny day outside for a while, I totally over indulged. I look like a lobster. Hopefully all the steroids they give me for my jaw will help clear this up! I told my boyfriend that I was creating a distraction for myself with the drama of a sunburn. Thanks for checking in on me. I hope that I am posting on here before your surgery. Yuo have been so great to all of us Juners. Fay > Good Morning Fay, > > I was just wondering how that Food Celebration went over the weekend. > I hope you ate until you could eat no more..(haha) > > Your big day is drawing so ever closer! Are you ready now? I just have to wear my new robe and > slippers..(haha) I can see it now everyone will be walking around in > their white robes supplied by the hospital and I will be in my new > pink robe..(haha) > >
