Anyone who has RNY has the area of intestine bypassed that is a significant place for protein absorption. And we don't have the stomach secretions to digest the protein we eat. That's why the predigested protein shakes are so important. I suggest that you go to www.vitalady.com and order some samples of the more than 85 brands and flavors of shakes that she has. She only carries the ones that are good for us - low sugar, low carb. You might want to start with the chocolate ProScore 100, the chocolate, banana and mocha Pure Whey Stack, the Pro V 60 vanilla, and any of the Nectars that sound good - I love the apple and the kiwi strawberry. All these are popular. Also, I don't see any vitamin A, C, or E. Most people need extra of these as well as zinc. BTW, we need the dry form of A, D, and E. How do you labs look? How are they in comparison to your pre-op labs? Do you see a downward trend when comparing the successive labs?
