Hi Anne Marie!

Right about the same time as you I got the same thing. It was only on my face

though- it mostly presented like a mild rash, but a few red spots would actually

get a little pimply.

Like you, I emailed this group and got all kinds of theories. I was never able

to pinpoint any specific food- but I will tell you this- IT DID GO AWAY!

Now that you mention die-off, I am wondering if that was what it was. It

definitely hung around for at least a month- maybe more like 6 weeks.

I hope this will put you at ease. As gross as it is, sometimes it's exciting to

know the diet is working :)

if that is what it is?

Yes, 10 days to two weeks into SCD I got a skin rash like yours. I thought it

was a drug reaction, but the dermatologist said no, and that he was not sure

what it was but it did not seem serious. I used a mild hydrocortisone cream and

it went away. It was die off.

Someone proposed a theory that if/when your body can't get rid of toxins fast enough through other means, it sheds them through the skin, often particularly facial skin.I searched high and low for treatments, bought all kinds of ointments, anti-itch stuff (it itched like the blazes) and in the end the ONLY thing that helped was slathering the effected area(s), which in my case was primarily part of my face and especially my chin, with virgin coconut oil (the edible kind, NOT the cosmetic kind). I still use it on my face fairly frequently. And one of our cats loves it. She waits patiently while I'm applying it then wants to lick my fingers when I'm finished. :-)n-- Now available.
