Guest guest
, According to my OS, Aetna tends to be one of the better insurance providers. They do have certain criteria and if you meet it they generally cover pretty well. I would think your OS would have a good idea whether you would get approved or not. I had a pretty significant open-bite and was approved. K > Hello! > My company just switched our insurance from Cigna to Aetna, has anyone > had trouble getting Aetna to approve the surgery? Guest guest
, I have Aetna in NY. I've had them through my braces and two orthognathic surgeries. They have always been particular about having just the right documentation (x-rays, molds, letters, whatever) but haven't really ever give me a problem with approval. The only thing with my policy is that they don't cover orthodontia for anyone over 21. So, I was on my own with that part. Good luck, Carol > Hello! > My company just switched our insurance from Cigna to Aetna, has anyone > had trouble getting Aetna to approve the surgery? Guest guest
, my company switched from Blue Cross to Aetna (GA) after I was already a year into braces. They gave me a hard time in the beginning, but after they got all the info they needed (letter of medical necessity, molds, x-rays, etc.), they finally pre-approved. It all came down to the surgeon's office getting them all the info they requested. It's a pain in the beginning but not impossible to get them to cover. Good luck with your approval!! > Hello! > My company just switched our insurance from Cigna to Aetna, has anyone > had trouble getting Aetna to approve the surgery?
