Guest guest
It is my understanding that when areas are going through nerve regeneration, areas that were once numb can feel tingly, prickly, occasionally painful as the numbness goes away. I don't know what kind of surgery you had - but it may make sense that the last of your numbness would be dissipating at the four month mark. Are you still seeing your surgeon regularly? Perhaps s/he can add some insight? Best of luck, Carol > Hi, > > I had my surgery in early February. Now it hurts in the part of my > face where it feels numb (where I lost sensation). Guest guest
I would agree with Carol's assessment. When I had quite major surgery undeneath my neck to remove a cyst I did not regain sensation for at least a year and I would get really bad spasms or nerve twitching that caused me pain. It turned out to be my nerve regenerating and regaining sensation. However, I would raise this issue with your doctor and see what they say. Sara > > Hi, > > > > I had my surgery in early February.
