These are great! Sadly, some are very true.........like the Doctors.... I do think we are

slowly getting more attention though. It seems like I hear "Sarcoidosis" a lot more than I used to. Before I was diagnosed, I had never heard of it. Hopefully they will find a cure or at least a medicine that will work without all the side effects.

I wish I could give you some advice. I'm afraid the day will come when my husband will have to get help. I hope I will understand . When you have took care of yourself all your life it is just hard each time you have to give something up it takes away a little bit of your Independence . I used to work s an activity director at a nursing home, and all the meeting I ever attended, we were told to let the person do something that would give them some of their independence back, even if you had to make up something for them to do. I hope this helps.

Unfortunately, it's something that is difficult to handle for those who do

the caring, especially when they rememeber how things were. My

mother-in-law is 97, immobile and still thinks she can go back home and

live as she did twenty or more years ago! It is tough for her to accept

that there are things that she can no longer do, especially as her memory

is not as good as it was.

I'm gonna give it a try, Why I'd be lost without Sarcoid? Well I wouldn't have a 30,000 electric wheelchair sitting in my brothers house.

# 2. If it wasn't for sarc: I'd still be living in my own house.

#3. I'd be working the job that I loved

#4. Iwouldn't be on disability due to frequent falls

#5. I'd be going out fishing

#6 or going out dancing on Friday night.

#7 I wouldn't be crying due to the pain in my legs/hips.

#8 I drive down to Chattanooga, to visit my son on weekends..

OH my gosh this is my favorite show, I love it, Sat. was a house marathon, and I sat and watched it, I think I took a couple little naps too:)  I just wish there would be a really sick pt. that actually had Sarcoid, and they could talk about

how bad it really is, now that would be great.  If it wasn't for Sarc, I wouldn't  have met my wonderful now friend, my Remicade IV nurse. I just love her, and she is a new MK customer too. how's that.

6-If there were no Sarcoid my Pulmonologist who keeps claiming it's a " Painless disease " and calls himself a " Sarcoidologist " would actually have to get a job.;

5-If there were no Sarcoid I could have gone through my entire life as a man and never known what Menopause feels like. (Symptoms of high doses of Prednisone for years, wink wink)

4-If there were no Sarcoid we might actually one day have an Ocean's Fourteen!

3-If there were no Sarcoid I never would have known what it feels like to have your monthly meds cost more then your mortgage!

Have you also noticed Mitch (that's my baby brother's name by the way) that on the House episodes it never turns out to be Saroid because there is no cure.....at least that's the only reason I can figure out..

If it weren't for sarcoid, I don't think I would appreciate the sky everyday like I do.

And if it weren't for Sarcoid, Walgreens would probably be having financial difficulties

And if it weren't for sarcoid, I'd have vacation bills instead of pharmacy and specialist bills
