honestly, my doctor was not concerned about calories. only concerned with

protein intake. as long as i was and am getting enough protein, the calories

will follow also.

The intake should never (later) get over 800 cal. How about soups (Egg drop

soup). You do have to get some carbs or you will start the craving, then you

go overboard and that leads to dumping (no fun)!!!

What about calcium??? Is one liter of water enough???

i have been eating is

about 4oz cottage cheese a day

about 4tbs of carb free french dressing in the cottage cheese.

half a can of carb free slim fast.

and a liter of water everyday

JJ,

My doctor and his staff have said I should be getting in 1,000 to 1,200

calories a day with 50-60 grams or protein and 69 oz. of water. The calorie

intake

might be due to ones size. I being only 4 months out, I average about 600 or

so calories a day and most of that is protein. I take a multi-vitamin, 1200

mg calcium, 500 mq of B-12 every day for the rest of my life. Since my body

doesn't seem to produce enough potassium I also have to take 20mcg of that too.

Your doctor should tell you what is best for you though.

Laurett,

yes they told me pretty much the same besides the calorie intake. I have my

Dr give me a B 12 shot once a month. I have a problem with the protein, but

I'm working on it, too.

LOL...just curious, I have days where I'm less, but on average I think

I get close to 1000 cals at 4 months out.
