Guest guest
Well, gang, it's September. We haven't gotten spectacular responses to the last two check in requests. With ~600 members, I'd like to see a blitz of messages. You don't have to write a lengthy post (we aren't all "ramblers"), just let us know you're still alive & kicking the sarc monster in the arse. Connie, did you get that lung problem cleared up? I've been worried about you. Remember the sarc retreat & patient info meeting coming up in Indianapolis in Oct. It's a real treat every year; maybe some of you that live within driving distance can carpool. I'll make you an offer you can't refuse, heh, heh. I'll have a special surprise for anyone in this group that shows up. If anyone needs info, let me know, or go to www.indysarcoid.org. This meeting is not specifically geared toward NS, but I thoroughly enjoy it each year. Last year I met a couple who knew my son from his weekend gig waiting tables at a pizza place. I took their pic with my cell phone & sent it to him. He immediately recognized them, knew their names & their favorites. They got a big kick out of it. Also, The 4th Annual Hike for Lung Health is coming up Oct. 4, I think. I didn't participate last year after doing it the first 2 years. The first 2 times I was really fired up, got articles in the paper, put flyers all over town, banners on my car, and not one person showed up to walk with me besides my family. I may do it this year, but without any fanfare, just to make myself walk a mile. The main event takes place in Chicago, but anyone can sign up as a virtual walker, even if you aren't able to walk a mile. For info, see www.stopsarcoidosis.org, the site for FSR (Foundation for Sarcoidosis Research) Okay, that's the news for tonight. "Good night, Chet." "Good night, ." You younger folk will be wondering what the heck that's about; ask one of the "crones" or "codgers" in your life to explain it. All right, let's get those fingers flying, or pecking, whatever works. We want to hear from you! Ramblin' RoseModerator A merry heart is good medicine. Proverbs 17:
