Guest guest
Hello, I'm 8 weeks post op (tomorrow) and my chin is still numb. I had upper/lower and genio done. I have some sensation back, ie: when I touch my chin I know I am touching it but it's somewhat like an altered sensation. I can have food dripping out of my mouth onto my chin and I won't know it. I've been told it's normal, and everyone's nerves regenerate at their own pace. I was also warned that 100% sensation may never come back, but it's nothing to worry about as you get used to it (not what I wanted to hear, but I've spoken to someone 2 years post op who doesn't have full feeling back!) Be patient, and time is the only healer unfortunately! Guest guest
i'm just over 2 years post-op and still have some numbness in my chin and lower lip. I've just got used to it and expect it wont come back. I dont drip food or anything, its more just like its dulled.... Hope you get your feeling back soon! > > anyone with genio tell me how long it took them to get rid of the > > numbness in the chin area? its been 21 days for me and its still > > really numb.
