Guest guest
Hi, did any of the female members in this forum have changes in their menstrual cycles in terms of more pain when they got the disease? I have painful periods sometimes and do not know what to do. It was not like that before I was diagnosed with Chron's and UC. Thanks! Guest guest
Mine is worse with the UC only because it means I have mini flares every 28 days. It's extraordinarily frustrating because it feels like the diet just doesn't work at the time of the month (even if I'm only intro, symptoms are just as bad). There's one feeling in particular where it feels like a razor blade is being dragged slowly through my colon. But yes...I get feverish, nauseated, slightly faint, in pain and my UC symptoms flare up to top it off. One month I ate ONLY fruit, cheese and peanuts (it was all my body was craving) for several days before it started and it was significantly better. Guest guest
Mine is very irregular. Last month it was only 17 days apart and I usually have pain symptoms a couple days before. I do have to say that my cycles are shorter and less severe after this long on SCD. They've slowly gotten this way over the last 2 and a half years.
