Hi Kristy,

With me it took about a little over two months to get my insurance approvals

(being that they will cover the surgery and then that they will actually pay

for it)....that was two processes. After my consultation with my my surgery

was about 6 weeks later. In my case though I lost that surgeon due to

malpractice insurance. That ended up being a blessing!!!!! Once I got my new

surgeon,

had my consultation with him, pretesting was one week later and then surgery

was two weeks after that. I didn't think the waiting time for me was bad at

all. The initial insurance approvals were made through the Thanksgiving and

Christmas holidays so I thought I made at real good.

Lots of luck to you and keep us posted.

I really began the process last December, but had to change hospitals, doctors,

the whole nine yards. I began working with my current surgeon and hospital in

March, Got my approval on July 16 and my surgery date is Sept. 20. So for the

process at this hospital it took me a little over 6 months. But I also had to

do a 3 month dietician program in there too.

That is funny, I have Aetna and I was not turned down but it took me a lot

longer than you. See, even in the same insurance company they treat different

people different ways. Wow, the both of you had the surgery. Good for you!!!

i attened the seminar in Feb turned my paper work in, and it was approved at the

end of march, just had to wait on Baylor to process my papaer work, which my

doctor visit would have been sooner but they got my approval letter mixrd up

with someone else, so i got my appt for May 20, 2004, and that same day i got my

surgery date of June 23, 2004
