Guest guest
Peptobismal - take it with you on vacation - and activated charcoal. maybe also some probiotics. and feel better. Mara > Ugh. I feel like a bus hit me. I know for sure that I drank some " bad " coconut milk this morning. I took a big swig of my coffee and realized right away that it was spoiled. I've had D and cramping all day. And my back and legs are achey and I am exhausted. Could this ALL be because of the spoiled milk? > I did taper from 30mg to 25mg of prednisone, but that was a few weeks ago. > I think this is what bad die-off feels like, but I haven't changed anything in my routine. > I have sooooo much to do- I am leaving on vacation first thing Saturday morning and I need to start packing and I have a full day of work ahead of me tomorrow... Any ideas (you know, besides epsom salt baths!!!)??? > Thanks, > Ugh again. > -Joanna > SCD 9/2009, Crohn's 1992, 25mg Prednisone > > > > ------------------------------------ > >

Guest guest
Thanks Mara- great idea. I've actually never taken Pepto. I had wished so badly that I had some activated charcoal at work today, but there wasn't much I could do > > > Ugh. I feel like a bus hit me. Guest guest
Thanks Alyssa- it means so much to me to know that you guys know what it's like to go through this. I will definitely work on getting that foot rub!!! Joanna > > > Ugh. I feel like a bus hit me. > > > Aw, I'm so sorry Joanna! Maybe drink some broth? Guest guest
Joanna, I am so sorry you feel so rotten.. Mara gave you some great suggestions.. Epsom salt baths help too. I have this same reaction if I eat something bad and it end up lingering.. My goodness it used to be so much worse in my early SCD days.. Hang in there! Jodi > > Ugh. I feel like a bus hit me. Guest guest
Thanks Jodi! To be honest, I think I was looking for a little sympathy too Well, as if ingesting rotten milk wasn't bad enough, I realized today that I didn't take my prednisone yesterday!!!! I swear, sometimes I get so wrapped up with everything, my head just isn't screwed on straight. No wonder I felt so achy and awful! I don't feel back to normal today, but at least I have some piece of mind about why I was having those symptoms. I loathe prednisone. Thanks for being so sweet everyone, Joanna SCD 9/2009, Crohn's 1992, 25mg prednisone (if I remember to take it!!!) > > > > Ugh. I feel like a bus hit me. Guest guest
Joanna, I hear ya.. It gets challenging being so absent minded especially when it comes to meds.. well lemme make tiny list about my greatest hits; 1) knowing when yogurt is ready and fetching from Yogurtmet (luckily I use my dehydrator now that has a beyond nifty timer) I have used every method possible trying to remember.. my goodness all those post-its! I should invest in their stock. 2) umm turning oven on for cooking- Yes, I cannot express how many times I fubar'd that one.. 3) forgetting to put water in steamer pan and nearly burning the abode down.. yes, another non-isolated event. 4) opening fridge door while on phone and somehow leaving phone in fridge.. I don't know how A gets to B on that one but it's happened at least a half a dozen times.. 5) let's not even mention the fact that I have lost 3 cellphones in under 2 years. LOL. I seem like a complete scatter brain by the sound of this very over simplified mini list.. It's hard to believe some people get by in life- yea.. that includes moi, Jodi the chronic SCD'er. Thank you Pat!!! -Joanna > > I've actually never taken Pepto. > Hi Joanna, > Pepto is great but remember that it has to be the original liquid not the cherry flavored or the chewable. > Pat >
Guest guest
LOL- It would be embarrassing for me to list all of times I've locked my keys in the house, left my lights on and killed my car battery (in the good 'ole days before they automatically turned off), left the oven on... Thanks for sharing your scatter-brained-ness with me! -Joanna > > > > > > > > Ugh. I feel like a bus hit me. I know for sure that I drank some " bad " coconut milk this morning.
