Guest guest
> Hi all, > Strict SCD for about 6 months now. In the first couple months my bloating went down significantly, then came back up about month 3 with the stress of preparations for my wedding, the food challenges of a honeymoon (I stayed on SCD but ate several " advanced " foods that I wasn't ready for), and then...? Have been bloated for the past 3 months --every day, all day, worse when I've eaten. I have been essentially one step above pecanbread's intro diet for the past 6 weeks (post honeymoon--meat and veggies , a very little cooked fruit), and two days ago went back to the intro diet (just meat, chicken broth, and a little diluted homemade apple juice made without the peel). Now on day 3 of intro diet, I am still bloated! What the hell? Anybody have any ideas or suggestions? Yeah - a 3 month flare and whether through stress through wedding planning or just " the luck of the draw " one of your bacterial/yeast/fungal strains got out of hand in the proliferation department and has taken over a bit. I would do the yeast spit test and think about finding a doctor where you can do a stool sample to see what's up. If it is yeast, a course of diflucan might help and s. boulardii along with your other probiotics. Mara

Guest guest
Also, I did a 30-day course of diflucan ending about 2.5 months ago-- all it seemed to do was make me feel really tired most of the time. Have taken S. boulardii throughout. - > > > > > Hi all, > > > Strict SCD for about 6 months now. Guest guest
Oh I forgot to say big congrats on getting married. I meant to stick that in the first email, kicked myself afterwards. spit in a cup of distilled or bottle water first thing, before you have done anything like drink some water or brush your teeth. And then examine to see whether the spit grows strings off of it instead of just floating on the top - check several times in 30- 1 hour minutes. http://www.adhdrelief.com/CandidaTest.html It's not a conclusive test and lately they've figured out that the problem is not yeast so much but the allergy to the yeast waste in our system, but it is a good indicator of potential problem IME. SCD yeast protocol is in the files. And s. boulardii is invaluable in that situation. Guest guest
Hmm. Yes, diflucan does make you feel tired and weary, enervated - it's part of the die off, IMO. Too bad the s. boulardii isn't working - are you taking it on an empty stomach? And what dosage are you using? The first time I used it, I took only 1 god know's when with food, without. And I didn't feel anything. So I didn't continue. Now I take 3 and occasionally 4 if I have some symptoms in the middle of the night on a completely empty stomach - and it has made a big difference. Guest guest
Hi ,I'm pretty new here, but I definitely suffered lots of bloating about 1 month after starting the diet. It lasted about a month or a month and a half. I thought I noticed a significant difference when I put lemon in my water (about half a fresh squeezed lemon everyday). Even so, It still took time for it to go away completely. I think it just had to do with how slowly everything was moving through my system, as as I healed movement picked up and now bloating is gone. Anyway, I don't really have any advice, just wanted to say that I sympathize with you. I hope, over time, the bloating clears up for you too.~CD, SCD 02/2010 Hi all, Strict SCD for about 6 months now.
