Guest guest
, Sorry, there are 2 s on this board as I've recently found out:-). I'm not the one with the tongue issue (although I have many other issues...lol) I should clarify that I too can close my lips with a concious effort now, and its getting easier, but I really hoped it would fall into place by now. My upper lip covers about 1/3 of my upper front tooth length, and my lower lip comes up to about 1/3 of my upper front tooth, so I have a gap of approx. 1/3 of my tooth at rest. I have alot of swelling in my right side and under the surface of my nose (if that makes sense). I'm starting to think though, that the septoplasty, which he used the incision from my jaw surgery, made my swelling and lip position worse temporarily. I'm only 18 days out from that as opposed to 29 days from the jaw surgery. Hopefully it will all come together. I feel like I'm whining too much about it, but I did the surgery so I could be able to close my lips, and if it ends up that I can't, I'm going to be sooooo mad. Hopefully it will all work out. > > > This is a question really I guess for any one but perhaps post- > > opers > > > can answer it best. > > > > > > When you are in resting position, for example when you're asleep > or > > > reading or watching television, how do you keep your > > teeth/bite/mouth? > > > Are your teeth clenched closed or are they slightly parted or > just > > > resting gently on top of each other?
