Guest guest
Hi Everyone: I am scheduled for a thigh lift and lipo in a few weeks. I all suddenly getting cold feet. Can anyone who has gone through this procedure give me any advice or help me prepare for what's to come? I am almost 4 years post op and have lost 240 pounds total. My legs have suffered the most abuse from the weight loss and I was sure this is what I wanted until today. I met with my surgeon who told me " EVERYTHING " which may be been too much for me. Now Im scared. Any advice? As always... thanks for your help.
Guest guest
Hi , I had 3 procedures done at the same time including an inner/outer thigh lift. My thigh lift involved incisions along the inner thighs and pubic area. These incisions look worse than the ones for my other procedures probably because of the pressure put on them in order to sit, stand or walk. It takes awhile for these incisions to heal and I had to wear a compression garment that went almost to my knees. It was crotch-less so I had to wear it all the time except for laundering. I feel that it really did help with the healing as there is so much pressure on that area when you walk or sit. The garment helped to hold things all together! I was able to walk the day after surgery but bent over due to the tummy tuck I also had at the same time. The first week is the hardest and things get progressively better. I went back to work after 3 weeks but it was too soon for me. In any case, my legs look better but the results are far from perfect. Was it worth it? Yes. Would I do it again? Yes, probably. from Washington Lap RNY Sept 2001, Dr. Wittgrove Minus 203.5 pounds 333.5/130 http://www.wworw.com > Hi Everyone: > I am scheduled for a thigh lift and lipo in a few weeks.
