Guest guest
I would love any great birthday cake recipe ideas as well. Right now he has chosen the banana cake but if there are other options I (he!) would love to hear.I just made the 'Comforting Cocoa Butter Cupcakes' from here http://milkforthemorningcake.blogspot.com/2008/08/comforting-cocoa-butter-cupcakes-dairy.htmland they were amazing!! My friend had given me some cocoa butter to try, and I"m hoping I can order some of my own so I can make these again =) As for the frosting, I haven't found an SCD frosting yet that tasted good to me :/ They all taste way to yogurty and honey-ey to me. But, if your son likes honey, I'm sure you can find one. I think Mara has a frosting recipe for the cocoa butter cupcakes. Guest guest
I do not have a recipe but I wonder how coconut butter instead of cocoa butter would work in the icing. Nice summer-y taste. Guest guest
Melts in summer sort of like coconut oil? Coconut butter melts at a lower temperature (at a summer room-temperature), so unless you keep your cake refrigerated, your frosting will be mighty soft. n
