Guest guest
If Shane is at least 6 months old, you can give him a lovey (i.e.: favorite soft toy) to sleep with and cuddle. We use a tiny taggy blanket and a soft little froggy doll for my daughter, and it distracts her attention away from the hard surface of her helmet by feeling soft things with her hands, arms, and legs. Not sure what to do if Shane's under 6 months. Maybe try what I call " treat sleep " -- on you, or in the swing. Just do itenough so he catches up on sleep and then try getting back into the regular sleep routine. Good luck! , mom to Alena, 8 months Hanger band, Sacramento (8 weeks) > > Shane has been in his band for 1 week now (on and off due to some skin issues). This has been the worst week of sleep for him in about a month. Any suggestions for sleeping in his band? >
Guest guest
we co-slept with my daughter. it isn't for everyone, but she definitely slept much better with us. She was in her crib for a short while, but after she got her band (5 mo old) and a slight cold I could never get her back in the crib :-) However she did get plenty of sleep with us. -christine sydney, 3.5 yrs, starband grad > > Shane has been in his band for 1 week now (on and off due to some skin issues). Guest guest
Shane is only 4 months old. He had just started sleeping about 6-8 hours at night before he was banded. I have been bringing him into bed with us that seems to be the only way i can get him to sleep for more than 2 hours, it is just uncomfortable for me with the 3 of us in a queen sized bed. He has been napping better the past 2 days, so I am hoping he maybe at last getting a little used to it. Or he is just so exhausted he doesn't care anymore. Thanks for the suggestions! > > > > Shane has been in his band for 1 week now (on and off due to some skin issues). This has been the worst week of sleep for him in about a month.
