Guest guest
My son also has a bump on his head and formed a week after being in the band. It is on the side where the DocBand closure is, which is the left side. Our tech said it is just tissue that forms to fill in the gap and will go away a few weeks after he graduates from the band. I would still call just incase and leave the band off. Good luck! , Docband since 9/24/09 On Sun, Oct 18, 2009 at 1:52 PM, christineashok <christineashok@...> wrote: I can't really tell what this might be from the description, but it can't hurt to see your ortho/clinician. Some kids get swollen lymph nodes while banded. It is a bump that swells up and tends to go away on its own. I don't think the band causes it, but it is more noticeable when you stare at your kids head every day. However that area can get very irritated from the band depending on the fit. I think it will be less stressful for you to keep it off until you can get it checked. -christinesydney, 3.5 yrs, starband grad >> My 6 month old son and daughter (twins) have been in their bands for 2 weeks now. Last night I noticed that a big ridge/lump has formed on the right side of Jack's skull. He always had a ridge there, it has been there since birth, but after 1 week of wearing the band it went down a LOT. All week things were feeling fine, and then last night when I took the band off to clean it I noticed that the ridge was not only back, but a lot worse than it ever has been. I left the band off overnight b/c I didn't want to continue to promote this kind of growth/change. Has anyone else epxerienced something like this? I can't call anyone at the office today, but will call first thing tomorrow. Do you think we should just leave the band off until I can talk to someone? Now I'm feeling really guilty that this did something bad to my baby's head. >
