Guest guest
I know that you don't want to be let down again. But this is going to change your whole life. Even if, which I doubt this would happen, your surgery was postponed once again for some reason, it doesn't matter. I know you are so close that you just want to get it over with. But once you do have it, it will change your life. It will change the way you look at things. It will change some of things that you think. You will look at your life in a whole new way, for a much longer life of course. I know it is hard to try not to think about the here and now, especially when things don't go as planned. But think about the future and how wonderful it will be once your surgery is completed. What got you excited the first time your surgery was scheduled? Think about all those things. This is a privilege to have this surgery and it is worth all the work and wait, at least for me. As I have said before, everything happens for a reason and a lot of times we don't understand why it happens. This is going to be great for you as it has been for all of us. Take care and keep me up to date on how you are doing. in Delaware Lap RNY 3/10/04 261/265.5/
Guest guest
Bonita, Thank you so much for your post, it really really helped me look at things different. I had been telling alot of friends about the surgery and telling them the military insurance is one of the easiest to deal with for getting approval and not listening to what i was saying. I almost feel like i can get excited about this again, this is the best i have felt about this since Aug 13th, again thank you so much. I guess that is why i joined this grou, i knew someone would have gone thru something silimar and been able to give some advice to help me get back on track, I appreciate all the repies to my post, Wow now looking at thigns i go in for pre op in 13 days then surgery in 25 days. Now after feeling this way and you guys helping me i know i have to stay here ( i had almost quit the group) I know you all will be here thru thick and thin. Guest guest
Patty, Maybe not being excited is good, at least you are calm and maybe able to sleep better than being excited and not being able to concentrate. I know it is tough when you have something set in your mind but it will be better with your husband home to help you, the first week is not as easy as I thought it would be. No pain, just wiped out. Have a beautiful fall day Pat in RI > Bonita, > Thank you so much for your post, it really really helped me look at things different.
