Guest guest
, When I came home from the hospital my butt was sooo sore I wanted a donut pillow! LOL It will be a month tommorrow for me and I do try to get my protein in but I also live on SF popciles (sp). Two days after I came home I went to bed at 7:30 pm and got up at 11:00 the next morning, I surprised myself, I did wake up every so often as I have resless leg syndrone but when I slep I was gone to the world. Sugarfree pudding is excellent too I got to have that in my second week. Take care, chat soon Pat > > Welcome back, glad you are on the " losing side " now > > Pat in RI
Guest guest
Pat, My back was the worse but once I laid on our bed...I floated away, with med's of course...LOL! Haven't had problems sitting but those twinges are so weird feeling. I get up early each morning with my husband to get him off to work. Make his lunch's without any problems. I hope I am not pushing things but I feel okay just alittle tired at times...then I nap. What type of protein drinks are you using? My Doc has me on SF Instant Carnation Breakfast but I plan on whiching after my appt on the 17th. He just asked me to please follow this until then. Had my first popsicle last night and it was sooo good. And I thought those mashed potato's were good...uumm have to think that one over again after I try cream of wheat or oatmeal today. Talk with ya soon! Hugs, in AL.
Guest guest
Today I am one month out from surgery, lost 40 pounds. I am just getting over being tired. Yes the twinges are weird. I have s/f Carnation Instant Breakfast for breakfast and I bought some Medifast meal replacement for my lunch and after the first week I was able to have a scrambled egg or strained cream of whatever soup. I fell in love with cream of aspargus soup. Now I haved added tuna and chicken both from cans. I brought a food chopper at WalMart and it chops the tuna and chicken real fine. My dr. wants me to keep away from carbs so no potatoes yet. I see the dietition on thursday, usually you see her by your third week, but I forgot to make an appointment so I am running a little behind, I hope she has some good suggest for meals for meal. I really miss veggies and salad but no raw veggies until 6-8 weeks out. Pat in RI > Pat, My back was the worse but once I laid on our bed...I floated > away, with med's of course...LOL! Guest guest
Hey Pat your doing great! I can't wait to say the same, stupid me jumped on the scale and had to chuckle...2 lbs less than I was when I got home on Thursday which was also the weight I was at prior to leaving for the hospital. I know I am not suppose to jump right on them but I had too just to see...curiousity killed the cat!!!! I am sure most of the IV was still in my system and glad I stopped it the second day. After my check up on the 17th I hope to find out what's next for my diet. I can already have strand cream soups too but man an egg...that sounds sooooo goooooood right now. I am sure my mashed potato's are only for this two weeks and then I wont use them unless I need too..2 tablespoons can't do too much harm...or I hope not. Well I need to beautify myself before my dear husband returns from work at noon. Take care! Big hugs, in AL.
Guest guest
, you are too funny! I too jumped on the scale and weigh myself everyday. I talked to a woman who is 2 years out and she still weighs herself everyday, so I guess it maybe a good habit to get into. I am glad you have the energy to " beautify " for hubby! Guest guest
Hey Pat, Well old habits are hard to stop so I jumped on it today and man I was even more excited. Since coming home on Thursday I have lost 5.5 lbs and if you add that to what I had already lost since when I first saw my surgeon that is 16.5 less. I know its not much but it help me get through this clear liquid stage. Went to a Karate Tournament with hubby last night and just about died...the nachos and pizza just about sent me over the edge...I kept looking at them and saying " someday sucker I will try you again and it wont be in big quanity but it sure will taste so goooooooddddd " !!!! Guess I better skaddle and see what other mail I haven't read yet. Hugs, in AL. > , you are too funny! I too jumped on the scale and weigh > myself everyday.
