No...the way my DH eats them is a crime. Can you imagine...he takes the pit

out and fills the hole with CATSUP! Puts salt and pepper on it and eats

that! That's almost as bad as the guy I had over for dinner once...and

served filet mignon...and he dumped catsup all over it...it was downright

insulting. Now MY way is taking a full half of an avocado...and mashing it

on well buttered toast...a little salt..a little pepper and if I'm in the

mood..a bit of garlic powder! That's my idea of heaven. For it to be

really good, the toast has to be extra crispy...the mix in textures is a

biggie for me.

I have to agree with " Mom " on this one. Mushing an avacado should be a crime

All you need is a knife, salt & pepper and a spoon. And I HATE TO SHARE

THEM!! (Kids always want some to -- thank gosh my husband doesn't like

them!!) At the price I have to pay here in Alaska, they are gold.

OMG! I am a purist. Spoon or sliced. I don't even have it in my salad, but

BESIDE the salad, so I can savor every lil speck of it.

PS there are no specks on my plate left, either

Well, every now & then I let him live, because. well, avocados are expensive

and then there is less competition for them, right? There is my dad, though.

LOL!

Well, now I am not so sure about that. Anything green could be improved (in

the old pre op days) with a good dollop of cheese sauce. Kim O

I too have never eaten an avocado. In the last

couple of years I have just learned that I like

guacamole.

For goodness sake, avocados are green. Anything

green can't be good... hmmmm.... maybe that is

just one of the reasons why I got so heavy????

Yep, that or ranch dressing. Of course, I think ranch dressing is a cure

all for almost any veggie, cooked or raw.

You sounds like my oldest son. If I tell him he can dip it in Ranch

dressing, he'll probably eat it. lol. Ketchup works to convince him too

sometimes, but not nearly as well as Ranch dressing. I used to LOVE Ranch

dressing, but can't find any that don't have buttermilk or milk so I can't

eat it now. Well, I COULD eat it, but I'll surely pay for it later with the

gas.
