Guest guest
Good luck, Kathy! Do let us know if it doesn't work out after a persistent trial, too -- if for no other reason, to make me feel better for not dropping the $$ myself. I have proceeded in a different direction.... IS LIQUID SKIN® CYANOACRYLATE ADHESIVE USEFUL IN SPLINTING BAT EAR ON A BABY? Experiment #1: glued fingertip to fingertip -- Sets within a minute. Totally holds against perpendicular force. Can be peeled apart from edge, though with a steady roll of the fingertip. Skin damage insignificant. Experiment #2: 3M bandage tape rolled 1/16 " thick, pinched between fingers with adhesive -- slightly easier to remove, but still holds against direct pull. Experiment #3: 3M bandage tape rolled 1/8 " thick, glued 3/4 way around and applied to back of adult ear antihelix, bending ear around roll -- Distinct intermittent pricking or itching sensation as tiny hairs pull out individually along peeling edge, nearest to ear rim, indicating prolonged failure under tension. Fails quickly against light pull. Rubbing baby oil over area with toilet tissue restores natural skin feel. To be continued... -- Thad Launderville Montpelier, VT Clara age 18 months, 2 months in STARband On Oct 16, 2009, at 10:55 AM, Kathy Jensen wrote: > We've ordered another set of the splints since our last splint will > probably end up lost soon.
