Guest guest Posted October 26, 2009 Report Share Posted October 26, 2009 Congratulations!!!!!!! Angie Appeal won!!! Long story short-We have Blue Cross Blue Shield Texas. DOC band was $3,600. We paid out of pocket first to get the cash discount of $3,300 and then filed a claim with BCBS afterwards (b/c we didn't want to wait for the red-tape to clear before getting treatment).Initial payment from BCBS: $1,700. Wrote a appeal letter stating something to the effect of: "Show me where you came up with this figure because other parents on-line (in Texas) have had theirs covered from $2,200 all the way up to the full $3,600."After 60 days of waiting, got a letter saying appeal granted...a few days later a check for the remainder $1,600.
