It's very difficult to obtain a balanced diet on nothing but vegetables,

particularly since you can't do eggs or cheese.

You can, however, alternate roasted meats and vegetables -- the first

several months I was on SCD, I tolerated steamed zucchini, pork roast,

beef roast, and soft-boiled eggs. Fortunately for me, I was just happy to

the have foods that I could eat without having problems.

Sorry, I meant meats and all of the vegetables.

I wouldn't do all veggies if there's any meat at all you can

eat. I had twenty years with no protein, no animal products at all,

no legumes, nothing. And I have hypoglycemia. I am positive this period's

immense stress is what totally creamed my mitochondrial function and

adrenals. I did have chicken/turkey back by the time I started the

diet, and I had to give up nuts for awhile, too. I still mostly

just have poultry though after about six months I got eggs back, and

butter. Yay! In a year I have worked up from a serving of half an

ounce of the chicken to two ounces of it or two eggs. I do have a

fair amount of fruit and my veggies are still pretty much salad. I

suppose some would consider this pretty limited but I'm thrilled. I have

a lot more protein than I have been able to manage in 28 years, and my

gut symptoms are a lot better than they were when I started this time

last year. I don't really mind that my food list is limited. It

works, and that's what counts.

Since you work, I would suggest you spend some weekend time (or evenings

if you have the energy) and make roasts, chickens, meatloaf, whatever

works, and portion it off and freeze. Ditto with your veggies. Most

things we can fix extra servings of and you could take your leftovers to

work the next day. See which oils you can manage as that helps a

lot.

What does LDN do and how does it work for?

My last Dr just gave me antidepressant, and with so much going on lifewise I

tried it , but headache, dizzy and chest pain is not worth staying on it. I asked

if he thought the charlie horses at 3-6am were from anxiety as well.

Thank you

well.... a few ways - you can do the spit test from the pecanbread group files

(maybe it's here too???)

some people actually have fuzzy tongues etc -I get extra nausea, then there's

the obvious vaginal yeast infections - sometimes anal rashes too - and lastly

blood/stool tests - there may be more
