Guest guest
Carol, wow -- your HDL is awesome! Are you doing anything special to get it that high? Lots of exercise, flax seed oil, fatty fish... anything like that? Congratulations! Guest guest
Carol: I too am very impressed with your fabulous HDL level. But I am even more impressed that you are able to get down one of those Keto cereals! ROFL! Seriously, good for you ... obviously your hard work is paying off. I am always curious about other people's exercise routines. I bodybuild too, 3x a week. What are you doing, split routines or what? I clump it all together in one session, upper and lower. At some point, if I become really ambitious, I'll split my routines to 4X per week and add on a couple of more exercises per body part. Right now I do two different exercises per body part, 2 sets each/12 reps/10 lb weights. Recently, I started augmenting that with a treadmill routine on WL days where I put the incline up to 10% and set the speed at a moderate 3.0 mph and literally " climb " for about 15 minutes (I'll extend time as I get used to this.) It's great for quads, hamstrings, calves and glutes. Anyone out there who decides to give this a try: GO SLOW otherwise you will get some serious muscle soreness (specially shins.) I found this out the hard way. Lucille In a message dated 11/14/2003 1:04:35 PM Eastern Standard Time, Graduate-OSSG writes: > > , > > All of the above! I exercise and body build 3-4 times a week. Guest guest
My cholesterol is 94. I am a distal RNY almost 8 years out. I will have to check what my HDLs are. I cannot remember. Guest guest
It is recommended that the overall cholestrol be less than 200, HDL's over 40, and LDL's less then 130. As long as I am within those ranges, I'm fine. I had to realize a lont time ago that I couldn't compare me to anyone else. I personally love your numbers. Guest guest
Gotta tell you I eat this stuff every weekday. Love the banana and the plain - HATE the apple cinnamon! Marjie Re: Fat absorption/ cholesterol It is an acquired taste lol.. But truly, the banana nut cereal with a touch of caramel SF syrup or butter rum and 2T of flaxseed is very good. The apple cinnamon with cinnamon SF syrup and a handful of blueberries is VERY good (or maybe it's growing on me Funny how these things start tasting good after awhile lol!
