Guest guest
Hi ! Ugh, 7 or 8 more crowns. I hope you have good dental insurance. I know what you mean about a long term relationship with your orthodontist. I started with these braces nine years while I was still in the military in Mississippi so I've only seen my current ortho for six years since we moved here. At the time, I was pregnant with my first daughter and now we're talking about putting her in braces in two or three years. She'll have them off and on until she stops growing so she'll literally have a lifelong relationship with the orthodontist. My younger daughter has a perfect bite so far but already has crowding of her teeth so the dentist told us she'll eventually need braces as well but not as early as . Luckily the orthodontist does offer family discounts! And getting up at 4:30 a.m.? Double ugh. I am not a morning person. What day do you go back? Get lots of rest this weekend and let your family pamper you. I might have to escape to my parents' house this weekend so I can get a break from the kids and housework (I've just started the month old pile of laundry that buried our laundryroom). I don't even dare to look at my weed-choked garden. Luckily my husband is on our neighborhood covenants committee so I can't get in trouble with them. Then again going back to work might be a bit of a break. Ha! I think my painkillers are starting to make me a little loopy. minirascal- > Hi , > > I think we have both been through it as far as dental is concerned. > I feel like you in that it will never end. Guest guest
Hi , Sounds like we both had a tough night, but let's hope tonight is better for both of us! My right side seems to be hurting more than my left. For some reason I keep having these on and off sharp pains that come and go on that side. My left side has been doing great. So my problem is opposite yours..(haha) I just got back from visiting my OD. Even though I was just in to say hi he had to sit me down in the chair to check out my OS work. He seemed mostly pleased with the results, but a little upset because he said my OS couldn't widen the jaw as much as he was hoping for and I may end up having to settle on a slight cross bite on the back teeth. It sounds like he is going to have to do quite a bit of tweaking once I am released back to him. So I don't know if he gave me good news or bad. I thought I was just hold out on the questions for now since I really didn't have an appointment with him. But this is the first I heard about possibly having to settle with a slight cross bite. In my head I was thinking you have to be kidding me, I am going to have to settle with something less than perfect after what I have been through. But I am not panicking yet. I will be sure to ask my OS about the possible cross bite at my next appt. with him. Anyway, the visiting has worn me out. I also stopped by my friends who work for an old dentist of mine. We have been friends for years. They all noticed the upper lip & cheek swelling, which I was hoping they wouldn't..Oh well, but at least they complimented the weight loss which was nice. Let me go take a quick nap before my hubby gets home from work. --Caboose > > Good Morning , > > > > I sure hope you had a better night than me last night.
