said she had done something terribly wrong, as the lasagna noodles were

crunchy! Silly me, I had neglected to tell her to COOK the lasagna

noodles before layering them in the pan! LOL!

=====================================

I have never ever cooked my lasagne noodles. When I start to put the

lasagne together, I put a layer of sauce on the bottom of the pan, then

the cheeses, etc., then another layer of noodles and I put sauce on

that, but put a little more than anyone would normally use. This way the

extra soaks into the noodles while baking and softens them up without

being dry. My lasagne always stands tall and proud, never falls apart

and my friends always ask me to make that for parties. They all cook the

noodles and it always comes out like mush. Never tried the no-cook

noodles. Why pay more when you don't have to cook the regular ones

either. Just add a bit more sauce. My Italian grandmother taught me this

when I was a kid. Only useful pearl that she ever passed down to anyone.

LOL

Oh yeah I've heard about this tho I've never done it myself. I thought it

was an urban legend LOL! You saturate the lasagna noodles with sauce and the

oven does the rest. I am glad to hear it truly works! Saves alot of fuss

parboilin' up those suckers beforehand. Plus all that damn steam makes my

hair frizz! I have tried those no-cook ones and they didn't taste right to

me.
