He is trying to follow the " fanatical adherence " but none of this is mentioned so we are unsure if it is OK or not. Is this allowed? My son is working on a farm and is very hungry but it is hard for him to eat alot with tasteless meat. I am going to keep the broiling in oven vs. the gas grill for the remainder of his diet. > > Also, he is using Apple Cider this time around and has looser stools and gurggling. He is also having a bit of sore throat and stuffy nose so he is trying to ascertain if it is die off or an issue with the apple cider. The cider is local, only fresh squeezed apples, no sugar ad no preservatives added. He has been eating only beef patties, cream cheese do you mean DCCC or cream cheese? > , wonderful chicken soup and the juices. if he is having a problem with apple cider, try diluting it even more to see if that helps. And yes, the cheese is DCCC…also very good to my taste buds. I like it better than regular cottage cheese. Eileen Cawood email: parvus@... Guest guest
Hi Eileen- spices are to be treated like new foods. So they should be introduced one at a time and you should wait a few days to be sure he doesn't react to them. So you could start with oregano now. By the time you wait for a reaction I would imagine he'd be done with the intro! (intro is only to be done for 2-5 days). -Joanna > > Are any other spices allowed on the intro? Salt and pepper are allowed, although some people find that pepper can be something they have to introduce gradually, too. Garlic powder should be introduced after the intro -- it would be better to use fresh garlic, or make your own garlic powder. — Marilyn New Orleans, Louisiana, USA Undiagnosed IBS since 1976, SCD since 2001 Darn Good SCD Cook No Human Children Shadow & Sunny Longhair Dachshund Babette the Foundling Beagle
