Guest guest
Hi all my June buddies, So at this time last month I was counting down the hours till the June train departed the station. Now I am counting down the hours till I return back to work..(haha) I think I would rather it the other way around and be the caboose on the return back to work train..(haha) Wow, what a month it has been with many ups and of course a few downs. But life is getting ready to get back to somewhat normal tomorrow with my return back to work. I will be sure to keep a log of everyone's reaction and give ya'll the lo blo details tomorrow...haha..I wonder if my coworker is going to treat me to Starbucks tomorrow for my return back..We normally take turns treating. Last year when I had my knee surgery and was out for a month my boss had some flowers sitting on my desk. This year I will probably have a pink slip for being out 2 summers in a row for surgeries..haha Thanks to everyone for all your wonderful support this past weekend when I was feeling the blues. It surely is nice to know I can depend on each and everyone of you to get me out of the dump and feeling better. Thanks Fay for borrowing that Bulldozer from Sara and willing to plow my doctors office down..(haha) By the way (minirascal) my OS told me to take Benadryl for the red nosed reindeer..(haha) I think you are the one that recommended that. I dread the red nose jokes tomorrow when I return back to work. Maybe I can just tell them that it is a sunburn from my month long cruise I just took..(haha) That will shut them up rather fast. I wish everyone continued healing and continued sucess on surgery preparations! If you run in to snags along the way, just pull those scissors out and cut that snag and keep on rolling. I really think having a positve attitude aids in our recoveries! --Caboose
Guest guest
My dearest Caboose, I'll be thinking of you today and I am sure you will do just fine at work. If they make any comments about the red nose reindeer look tell them that you're trying out a new look in preparation for Xmas and don't forget to tell them that those baby spoons were imported from Italy especially for you! I do agree with you that a POSITIVE attitude does help the recovery go by more quickly and more easily. Of course we're all bound to have our days of blues, the trick is to figure out some way of seeing the light at the end of the tunnel because it does exist, I promise:- )...says she who spent the weekend breaking down and crying for no apparent reason. I put it down to the darn anesthesia still in my system but I do feel better now that I got the crying out of my system. Fay, glad to see that you had no trouble whatsoever driving that bulldozer right through 's brickwall. I was so sorry to have not been able to access the site the last few days and therefore not be around to pull you guys out of your blues but I was happy to see all the rubble from 's doctor's office:-) Well done partner! mini-rascal, I hope you feel better and that the pain in your joint eventually abates. You of all people truly deserve some relief. I've often thought of you these last few weeks and used your example as an inspiration to be strong and brave and most of all, not ever give up on having an excellent recovery! Shirley, how are you doing? I trust no further allergy reactions happened and that your recovery has been going well. Becky, how much longer until you get your splint out? Has the bone graft sight completely healed. I hope so!! And a big shout out to the rest of the June surgery buddies from me. You truly have been a great group and I couldn't have gotten through surgery without you and your positive attitude. I can truly say that with you I have shared both tears and laughter. Here's to hoping we'll all be beaming our new smiles soon! Sara xx
