Guest guest
Happy I found your board! I'm and I have an almost 6 month old named Everly. I've had some concerns about the shape of her head for a month or two. She has an obvious ridged suture line, her head is longer vs width and when she lays on her back her chin is forced to her chest b/c of the shape of her head. All of this seems to point to scaphocephaly, but she was not breech nor premature which seems to be the two main causes. Is positional scaphocephaly a possibility; I've read a few things that have said that scaphocephaly is not due to positioning?? Our chiropractor recently mentioned that she felt that the shape of her head wasn't just a variation of normal which is what I had been thinking and suggested we see our doctor about it. She'll be seeing the doctor in two weeks; I'd like to have some info going into the appointment. Is there anyone here currently with a child who has scaphocephaly?
