It is a shock on the stomach to all of a sudden switch to a liquid/soft food diet. My problems actually began when I started adding the soft foods to my diet. My nose congestion lasted about a week and started clearing up after that. I used the nose decongestant my OS gave me in the hospital along with keeping my head elevated at all times which really seemed to help. Some have used a humidifier and say that has helped. I also found nice long hot showers helped clear up some of the congestion. Anyway, keep jumping over those little hurdles one at a time because you are one step closer to that finish line!
