Guest guest
Hi, as I read, the most problem that I am hearing is breathing problems. Well, sounds like a big problem to me. I like to breath myself. (Ha) What kind of operation are you all having that makes it hard to breath? My operation is August 9 and I talk with my doctor on Thursday and I want to address this issue. Can anyone explain? thanks Tonya
Guest guest
Tonya, I had a Leforte 1 Osteotomy (Upper jaw) surgery. Please forgive me if I'm too graphic...but here goes. They put tubes down your nostrils once you are out. Usually you have one for Oxygen and one to drain the blood out of your stomach. With most surgeries they can put the types down your throat, but since they need to work on your mouth they can't have the tubes in the way. Hope that helps without grossing you out too much.
