Guest guest
The first week my son had his DOC band, he ended up getting bright red hot spots that didn't go away after an hour. They also became chaffed and started weeping. I called Cranial Tech. and they said it was likely a heat rash that has gotten a yeast infection. We were told to keep the band off for the weekend and see the pediatrician for a cream. It was pretty much all healed by Monday. We put the band back on and it seems fine now. The first week, they will sweat alot until they get used to it. On Wed, Sep 30, 2009 at 9:12 AM, myquietdays <myquietdays@...> wrote: Molly, our 5 month old daughter, is getting her band tomorrow. Guest guest
She had one pretty noticeable red spot, which we went back to after the 1st day, and they shaved some more off. Over the weekend, she wore it not much on Saturday, but 19 hours on Sunday. After 1 hour of it off this morning, she had just a little pink areas, but nothing really noticeable. We live in the mountains and tend to keep our house cool which helped with her head sweating. She has taken to it pretty well so far.
