Guest guest
Hi My name is Tina Terry. I had Open RNY on October 21, 2002 by Dr. Maguire at Kettering Hospital in Dayton, Ohio. Wow what a mouthfull! I'm real eager to join this group. Dr. Maguire has a group but it is mostly preops and recent post ops. I'm dying for a bit of meaty advise and shared stories for those who have been out longer than me. I've lost 88 pounds. I have another 25 to go. The loss has really really slowed down. I struggle for each pound now. I'm a size 10 to 12 but I'm also only 5'2 " tall. That is not small for one my height. But not really heavy either. On bad days I give up and say who cares? I'm not a size 22. But I know I can get to goal. The past year has just spoiled me terribly. OH well that is my story. I'll enjoy meeting all of you. tina

Guest guest
Hi Tina, Great to see you here. You will see water, protein, vites preached to the hilt here. Losses towards goal weight will be slowed in my experience. How much protein are you getting in? What kind of protein are you doing? I am 2 years out and 5'2 " . I started out at 300 lbs and ended up so far at 140. I've been 140 for awhile. I eat about 5 times a day usually and 2 to 3 of those are usually a whey protein shake. I have my days that I'm not good...and I have my days where I struggle and forget to eat and that helps stall the weightloss. I went up to 145 and I really watched myself for 3 or 4 days and followed my routine to the letter and got back down to 140. Sherra Someone New on Board > Hi My name is Tina Terry.
