I figure I can get my protein through my shakes if I don't have enough room for the meat after the veggie. Heaven knows my veggie intake isn't anywhere near what it should be. <sigh> Beth Houston, TX VBG - Dr. Srungaram 05/31/00 - 314 lbs. 11/01/02 - Abdominoplasty 11/29/02 - 160 lbs. 5'10 "

Guest guest
No kidding! LOL! But at least with actual gravel you might get some mineral value out of it. I don't think I've eaten all of an ounce of rice since surgery. NEVER make it for myself at home. But I'll have sushi on occassion, and when I do I ask that they use VERY little rice, and when I get it I'll pick off the majority with my chopsticks. I just have this image of it dropping down, settling bottom pouch, and then rapidly swwwwwwwwwwweeeeeeeeeeelllllllllllllllllllllllliiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiinnnnnnnnnnnnnggg\ ggggggggg like a malignant starchy blowfish! Wonder if brown rice presents the same problem .... anyone? Guest guest
I can't eat more than a tablespoon or two of rice, noodles or pasta - it swells in the tiny tummy and the only times I have returned my food (twice in 4 years) it has been rice. Guest guest
Ditto! Rice is the enemy. Any amount wants to come back up with me. I have just sworn it off.
