Guest guest
Whenever you enter the fat-burning state of ketosis due to the reduction or elimination of carbohydrates you will get pretty bad halitosis (because the fat is being broken down into ketones and as the ketones get into the urine and saliva it causes horrible breath). Bad news - it's hard to get rid of without altering your diet, good news - you're definitely cutting the carbs . Sugarless mints (and gum. if you're chewing gum again) and drinking more water can all help. One of the best way to get rid of this is to begin incorporating whole grains and complex carbohydrates into your diet. Add a piece of whole wheat toast in the morning with a piece of cheese, try some toasted pita with tuna fish, a small sweet potato can also be good. We don't have a lot of room for these types of things, but adding them back in helps. Guest guest
I've asked docs whether I could have fungi in my sinuses that are fed by such and they haven't thought so. From my online reading I suspect it's fairly common. What do we think around here? Guest guest
Yep, you can definitely have fungi in your sinuses. I hear adding some baking soda to a saline nasal rinse can help eliminate it. (Don't know whether that would cause the bad breath feel or not.) Mara > I've asked docs whether I could have fungi in my sinuses that are fed by > such and they haven't thought so.
