Guest guest
Just thought I'd pop in and let you know that the information you are stating isn't really how it is in all states.. I live in the philly area of Pa, and the *emergency room* help is fantastic.. It's not just to get on your feet and get you out. I work in the ER in two different hospitals as a Medical Assistant, and I know the doctors/nurses/all other staff are very helpful and will do whatever it is to make you (as a patient) better. Alana > thank you all for your replies. I need to find a site that has more > bad experiences on it than this one. Then mayby I can get more help. > No offense to anyone here but it has been over four years since my > surgery and mayby I have more experience than most on this site. > I need to address one issue that was brought up by two or three > people on this site who were trying to help me. It is about those who > said to go to the emergency room to get help since I lost my health > insurance. Mayby it is because I live in Texas, I do not know about > other states. But if one does not have insurance, what you hear in > the emergency room (I have been many times) is excuses. You cannot > get tests done (cat, stress, etc.) to prove if you have a pulmonary > embolism or heart trouble/blockage/stroke etc. They, (emergency room > doctors), will treat you to get you on your feet and that is all. > Now I suppose if you were having a heart attack as you got there > then they would give you help to get you on your feet, and believe > me, that would be all. To say one can get treatment at the emergency > room is not correct, at least when it comes to my situation. > I wanted to say this on this site so as no one will be mislead > intothinking one can get emergency room " help " . If you loose your > health insurance and you have a preexisting condition, you are going > to be in a world of hurt. > Thank all of you for trying to help me. > Sincerly, acre.
