Guest guest
Countdown.. 47 days.. Got the letter from my insurance saying they were covering the surgery, and also down the line.. My insurance covers a *tummy tuck* when you lose 80 or more pounds.. I mean, I don't know if I'm going to get one down the line.. (not even thinking about that right now).. Anyway, just wanted to say hi and share my joy of the countdown to freedom..

Guest guest
Hi Patty, I know what you mean about the lack of sleep. I lay in bed at night, excited about the future. But also a little bit of fear has set in. Not that I would even consider changing my mind. Just alot of things to think about. I have my surgery Aug, 17th.. so please let me know how yours goes... I wish you the best of luck... and a few good nights sleep too Vicki vickip@...

Guest guest
Amy, My surgeon said I could have carbonated beverages, granted not a lot, only if I let them set out for about 10 minutes to let the carbonation settle down. I will add sparkling flavored water to my crystal light or SF fruit juices and he and the dietican said that was no problem. Of course many doctors/dieticans are different and I would listen to what your doctor says of course. Guest guest
Hi Patty I am having my surgery in Belvidere , Illinois. I have a lot of people coming up and saying " aren't you excited " ? Well I guess I am but it still seems very unreal. my pre-ops are tuesday, I guess after that it will all seem real. My family is very excited. My hubby was alittle against the surgery at first. I think he likes me big, I was 180 when we met. and he has always said he doesn't really like skinny chicks.. But when it came to my health. He decided surgery would be a good thing, cause he wants to keep me around for a few more years.. haha. my son 11 is very happy, but wants to know what I will do with the extra skin. I told him we can make a chair. My daughter that is 9, is my problem. we have never been apart more then 2 days( she doesn't want to see me in the hospital) and she likes me the way I am. She says she doesn't want to hug bones. But she will enjoy me healthy when all is said and done.. So I am slowly getting my things together for my hospital stay. And have made a long list of questions for the hospital.. Best of luck to you Vicki

Guest guest
Hey Patty, Once I lost 62 pounds and I had not seen my mother in 6 months. She didn't recognize me. You better think about getting a tee shirt that identifies you to wear when you meet the boat. LOL Pat in RI > Vicki, > Good Luck on Tuesday , my pre op is Friday.
