Is this correct?

And if it is correct, would this method be acceptable?

This is correct -- and a great way to have grass-fed butter if you are

lucky enough to have a good source of pastured cream!

Thanks Marilyn...In North Central Florida, we have several small dairies where

the cows are pastured. I've been buying the pastured Organic Valley butter but

this will be so fresh and local to boot!

Fresh butter, here I come!

I can definitely see Marilyn as a Tasha Tudor type with the books, cooking, goats following her around with a few corgi's picking blueberries.  Roasting a goose with blueberry pie on Christmas.  You should check out the specials they have on PBS about her.

Just like the Amish, only we'd need electricity for our 40 blenders, 100 food

processors, 35 dehydrators, 250 yogurt makers... LOL!!!

Solar and wind power! <G>

Actually, when I win the lottery (of course, this presupposes that I get

around to buying a ticket!), I'd like to build a hundred-suite motel (all

with full refrigerators, a stove, etc.) and backing onto a big fenced

walking area for a dog park.

I'd like to do it out of rammed earth (see

www.terrafirmabulders.ca) and have both solar and wind power so it

wouldn't lose power in a hurricane. And we'd have an SCD-compliant

restaurant on the premises....

And we'd probably need two 9 tray dehydrators for each room.... then we

wouldn't HAVE to have the yogurt makers!

At a crohn's board I visit, us SCD people have joked about forming an SCD

commune. Wouldn't something like that be great? I volunteer to take care of the

chickens, goats, and cows :-).

That's why I volunteered for animal care, cooking is not exactly my favorite

What a brilliant idea! You could run workshops throughout the year for different

levels- beginners, maintenance, advanced... and all the while we could be waited

on hand and foot- cooking, cleaning...

AND... you could have a spa so we could relax and look pretty :)

Sounds like what we need is several of us to win the lottery and then we

can join together for this! Mmm, I can hardly wait for that spa and

our SCD chef in the dining room!
