Guest guest
Barbara, Welcome to the group and glad to hear your surgery went well. Hope you continue to have an easy recovering. As far as soup suggestions, chicken broth, cream of chicken or most any strained soups work pretty good. Take care and good luck. Guest guest
Congrats Barbara! I'm so glad everything has gone well for you. Keep up the good work. I lived on campbell's 98% fat free cream of chicken and mushroom. I would add chunks of chicken to the soup (usually in the baby food section they have toddler food, it's chicken pieces - i found that easiest) and maybe some cheese. when you are allowed soft foods i also loved the chunky vegetable beef and it's a great source of protein. Guest guest
Hi Barbara, Congratulations on a successful surgery! I've never been a big soup eater, so I am sorry I don't have any recipes. Except to say I like brocolli cheese soup! Don't know how well you would tolerate it though. I really lived on jello and boost and ensure during the all liquids phase. That and water! I lost 23 pounds in those first two weeks as a result. Once I got to soft foods, I ate alot of yogurt, cottage cheese, and mashed potatos. Best of luck to you! I just joined this message board recently too. It's really great, very very informative and nice folks here! gbp 5/27/03 315/ 169/
Guest guest
Hi Janet, you ask.... >I am now looking into how good/bad Hot and Sour soup may be. When you can eat soup Hot and Sour soup is great because of the tofu usually in the soup. Tofu is protein that is easily chewed up and digested. I also found Chinese food very easy to eat becuase it is so tender. Enjoy. Colleen
Guest guest
My Chinese food restaurant puts tofu in their egg drop soup too, just ask them, I;m sure they'll do it, then you get the extra protein from the tofu and eggs . Guest guest
That would definitely work, but my tongue wants Hot and Sour Soup. I tried the Health Food Store's version of dehydrated H & S soup in a cup, but it was nasty. It had tons of tofu, so I ate it anyway. I want the ginger flavor!
