Guest guest
Hi Sara, Thanks again for the insight into the drainage and pressure feeling in my ears. In most of what you write, it really sounds like 3 weeks was the turning point for you where things began to normalize again. I'm positive that in another week, when I hit that 3 week mark, I will feel loads better too. I think of where I was a week ago and I feel I've come pretty far from there already. Mouth breathing: Ah, yes - same here, now though I am trying to retrain myself to breathe through my nose. It's really a huge change for me to be able to breathe so well through my nose. Even though things in and around my nose are still swollen, I am still breathing better than I did pre-op! So, I am really confident that once full healing takes place I'll be breathing pretty well. That will make this all worth it in the end. I suffered from chronic fatigue for years before this surgery - not knowing until just last year that I had a sleep apnea problem. I am really looking forward to having more energy than before - although I can't say I feel full of energy just yet. Too soon after surgery for that obviously. Regarding the Arnica - yep, that's what I thought too. I didn't think it would help too much anymore at this point. I only had the little round tablets - and never got the cream, but my bruising is going away nicely. It's gone from my eyes/face and only a small amount remains in my chin and neck area. The area that got the most bruised honestly was my chest, which was rather strange since they didn't touch that I have had a lot of visitors since having this surgery. I come from a large, close-knit family, so relatives are constantly popping over. Plus our friends and neighbors have been doing the same. I don't mind the visitors actually, but I just get so wiped out once they leave, that I can't do a thing except walk to my bedroom and topple into bed. Honestly, after visitors come and go, I can easily waste away 3-4 hours on a nap before getting back up again!! Thanks for everything :-) Judy
